欢迎你们来到中国美丽的大都市-昆山,出席第三届中美教育研究协会昆山峰会 !本次会议由中美教育研究协会和昆山前景教育集团联合举办。 中美教育研究协会是美国弗吉尼亚大学教育学院的几位中国校友共同创办的一个非营利性社会组织。协会于2014年4月在美国纽约州正式成立。现有成员约500名,其中包括中小学教师,大学教授,及留学生等。 总部设在纽约,分部设在中美各大城市。

以中国古代伟大教育家孔子的“大同世界”为理念,我们致力于将协会打造成一个合作创新奋发图强的高精尖教育“地球村”。在地球村里,所有热爱教育事业的同仁将一视同仁,互相坦诚, 互相尊重,互相信任,互相学习,互相鼓励,互相交流, 互相合作,互相成功。协会立志把“地球村”建设成为一个中美之间的平台,让中美两国的教育者们联合起来,加强彼此之间的交流与合作,把优质的教育资源进行研发、整合、普及、运用。协会的三个具体目标是:1)个人发展:协助每个会员发掘自我最大的潜能,2)品牌创立:创造出教育精品如文章, 书籍,理论,学校,项目等从而创立一个新型,科学,创新,有效的育人品牌,3)服务贡献:扩大在全社会的影响以服务于全人类教育事业 。我们坚定地认为,教育是一门崇高而伟大的事业, 教育的最高目的是给孩子创造最优质的学习体验从而充分发挥每个孩子的最大潜力。 我们致力于团结中美两国教育专家与学者,加强中美两国教育之间的交流与合作,共同探索未来教育的出路,促进中美两国以及全球教育事业的共同发展。协会发展以八大原则为指导:信任是基础,友谊是动力,团结是力量,交流是源泉,合作是条件,创新是途径,贡献是目标,服务是宗旨!

协会成立后立即受到了中美两国教育同仁的大力支持。从2014年4月的一个小小的9人微信群体,在不到一年的时间内迅速发展成为一个具有一定社会影响力的组织。协会在学术活动方面尤为活跃,开设了多样的学术活动,其中包括《地球村教育论坛》,《留美学者访谈》,以及《中美教育研究杂志》等。这些活动均受到了会员们的大力支持和高度赞扬 。此外协会每年举办学术年会。每届年会以“集中美教育之英才,寻未来教育之出路”为主题,邀请中美两国教育界的权威学者一起分享其学术成果。以享誉全球的高端创新TED交流会为模式,年会一改以往单调呆板的传统说教报告方式,大力提倡创新。所有报告以新颖生动的形式进行。 为了让年会更富灵感与活力,每届年会还增添艺术,音乐,舞蹈,小品等非传统学术形式的报告, 立志将每届年会办成一个集教育,趣味,文化和创新于一体的学术会议,成为中国最具影响力的教育年会。

本届中美教育研究协会昆山峰会为大家安排了各种新颖的学术交流活动,如特邀专家讲座,专题报告,家长-专家直通车,相声,小品,戏剧,儿童才艺表演等 。本着美国弗吉尼亚大学创办人托马斯.杰斐逊总统 “教育要服务社会”的宗旨,每届年会视频录像将免费向社会大众公开。我们热烈欢迎来自中美两国教育届的同仁,尤其是一线教育者,学校行政领导,在校学生以及学生家长等光临本次盛会。希望你们能拿出你们在教育研究方面的最新科研成果,与我们一起分享智慧,激发灵感,共同切磋,齐创辉煌!我们坚信,本次盛会将会大大地鼓舞和激发所有会员的创造动力与教育激情!

Welcome Address


 Ladies and gentlemen,

Good morning, Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the Second Sino-American Educational Research Association Annual Conference in Kunshan. This conference is proudly co-presented by Sino-American Educational Research Association (S-AERA) and Kunshan Qianjing Education Group. Initiated by several U.Va. Chinese alumni educators, S-AERA is a nonprofit organization devoted to advancing comparative educational research and collaboration between the U.S. and China. Currently, S-AERA has over 460 members and it is a consortium of K-12 teachers, university professors, school administrators, and international students. The S-AERA headquarters is located in New York City, with many branches located at different cities in both the U.S. and China.

Inspired by the greatest ancient Chinese educator Confucius’ “one world” vision, S-AERA intends to create a collaborative and egalitarian intellectual community called the “Global Village.” In the Global Village, all educators are treated as equals with mutual respect, trust, honesty, encouragement, support and collaboration. The Global Village serves as a platform for passionate educators in both the U.S. and China to exchange ideas, to collaborate on projects and to explore educational solutions together. The specific goals of the three S-AERA are: 1) individual development: to help each individual member achieve their fullest potentials; 2) brand production: to produce high quality work including articles, research projects, schools, movies, initiatives in education; and 3) social impact: to become a leading organization with the most advanced knowledge to serve the global educational community. It is our strong belief that education is the most noble profession in the whole world and its ultimate purpose is to help students fulfill their maximum potential and make an impact on society. The strategic development of S-AERA is guided by eight core values: trust, friendship, unity, exchange, collaboration, creativity, contribution, and service.

Ever since its first establishment as a WeChat group of 9 people in April 2014, S-AERA has received tremendous support from the educational communities of both countries. Within just one year, it has quickly grown into a world-changing organization with multiple innovative initiatives including weekly Global Village Educational Forums, Interview Series with Chinese International Students in the U.S., and a weekly online journal, Journal of Sino-American Educational Research. All these initiatives have received positive feedback from our members. In addition, S-AERA also hosts annual conferences. Under the theme of Uniting the educational experts in the U.S. and China, Exploring Innovative Solutions for the Future, the S-AERA conference invites the world’s leading educators to share their insights and amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities occurring in this community. Unlike traditional academic conferences, the S-AERA conference welcomes a variety of creative formats including art, music, dance, skits, and performances. It strives to become the most creative and influential educational conference in China by integrating community, engagement, culture, and creativity in education.

The third Sino-American Educational Research Conference in Kunshan will consist of a variety of topics, speakers, and presentation formats including a keynote speech, panel discussion, educational model demonstrations, performances, skit, cross talk and art. Guided by Thomas Jefferson’s belief that “education should serve the society,” the whole conference will be videotaped and shared free with the public. We welcome all distinguished educators, scholars, administrators, education major students and parents to this conference! Now it is my honor to officially open the second Sino-American Educational Research Conference! We wish our second S-AERA conference a great success and wish all participants a wonderful time!

Gerard A. Postiglione is Chair Professor, Associate Dean for Research, Director of the Centre of Research on Education, at the Faculty of Education, The University of Hong Kong. He has published over 120 journal articles and book chapters, and 14 books. His books include: Education and Social Change in China, China’s National Minority Education, Asian Higher Education, East Asia at School, and Crossing Borders in East Asian Higher Education. He is editor of the journal, Chinese Education and Society, and four book series about China for Routledge Press, Rowman and Littlefield, M.E. Sharpe, and Hong Kong University Press. He received the Best Book Award from the Comparative and International Education Society, and the Outstanding Research Supervisor Award from the University of Hong Kong. He has been a consultant for projects of the Asian Development Bank, Department for International Development (UK), Institute of International Education (US), International Development Research Center (CA), Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development, United Nations Development Programme, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, World Bank, and other international agencies. He has also advised international foundations, including the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching on the academic profession, and the Ford Foundation, as senior consultant on educational reform and cultural vitality in China. He has also cooperated with international NGOs, including the Clinton Global Initiative, Open Learning Foundation, Save the Children and Miaopu (Hong Kong), and the Bridge Fund. He advised China’s Ministry of Education and briefed the Office of the Secretary of the US Department of Education.

林静教授, 美国马里兰大学教育学院国际教育政策专业教授

林静教授为美国马里兰大学教育学院国际教育政策专业教授。她发表过十多部学术专著。其中,她系统地研究了中国当代社会的变迁和教育的发展,出版过五本有关中国教育的专著。她近年和其他学者合作的一本专著:《中国21世纪大学的画像:走向大众化》,获得学术优异奖和同行好评。林静教授对全球化时代人类面临的许多重大挑战进行了多方面的研究。2001年美国9/11 事件以后,她在马里兰大学率先开设了和平教育的研究生课程。2005年,她创立了国际比较教育协会和平教育学者分会并担任其主席两年。她最近出版了《爱,和平与智慧的教育:对21世纪教育的展望》,《变革教育,走向和平》等专著。目前,她是世界上第一套和平教育丛书的主编和另外两套相关丛书的主编.林静教授同时也在进行生态环境教育研究与教学。她出版了《变革性的环保教育》这本书。林静教授热爱中国文化,致力于中西方文化文明沟通, 为促进全球文明对话开展多方面的学术与文化工作。她应邀在国内许多大学做过关于和平教育,环保教育,创新教育,中国传统文化与教育,东西方教育与文化对话等方面的学术报告,并编辑出版多本相关学术杂志,如2012年她为中国高等教育出版社主办的《中国教育前沿》英文杂志编辑了名为“儒教,道教和东西方对话”的专刊,2013年为清华大学主办的《中国教育国际刊物》编辑了“新时代的通识教育:改革,挑战,和东西方相互学习的可能性”的特刊。林静教授带领多个学术团队进行过多方面的学术研究项目。获得支持的研究项目经费来源包括福特基金会,Spencer基金会,MacArthur基金会,Open Society 基金会,瑞士银行基金会,Freeman基金会,加拿大社会科学和人文学科基金等。林教授是现任美国最大学术研究机构 - 美国教育研究协会(AERA)的 “儒家,道家,佛教和教育”分会主席。
Prof. Lin Jing is Professor in International Education Policy at University of Maryland. She received her doctorate from the University of Michigan. She has done extensive research on peace education and environmental education, which result in books entitled Love, Peace and Wisdom in Education: Vision for Education in the 21st Century (2006), Educators as Peace Makers: Transforming Education for Global Peace (2008), Spirituality, Religion, and Peace Education (2010), and Transformative Eco-Education for Human and Planetary Survival (2012). She is the co-editor of two book series, one on Peace Education, and the other on Transforming Education for the Future. Professor Lin is also an expert on Chinese education. She has published five books on Chinese education, culture and society, systematically examining educational changes in China in the last three decades. Dr. Lin teaches courses on Education for Global Peace, Ecological Ethics and Education, World Religions and Implications for Education, Culture and Education in a Global Context, Gender and Education, International Higher Education, and Modes of Inquiry. Her research interest lies in Peace education, environmental ethics and education, world religions and spirituality education; Chinese education, culture and society; East-West Dialogues in education and culture.

Dr. Dengting Boyanton is the Director of the Childhood Education Program in the Curriculum & Instruction Department of the College of Education, and Co-Director of TEDxLIU Conference at Long Island University, Post. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from University of Virginia. Her research interests lie in classroom teaching and learning, student-teacher relationships, engagement, and motivation. Through her dissertation research, she developed a new theory of learning: the Mutual Value Theory. She has given national and international presentations and workshops on Mutual Value Theory. Dr. Boyanton is a member of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and American Psychological Association (APA). Dr. Boyanton also serves as the President of Sino-American Educational Research Association (S-AERA). She has been mentored by many nationally renowned education scholars including Dr. Richard Mayer, Dr. Margaret Eisenhart, Dr. Cynthia Dillard, Dr. Richard Milner, and Dr. Jeremy Price.  Her work has been featured in such publications as China Daily, China News, Xinhua News, Yangtze Evening, and Sichuan News. Dr. Dengting Boyanton has earned many awards in her academic career including National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Stipends Grant Award (nominee), AERA Division C (Learning & Instruction) New Faculty Mentoring Fellowship, AERA Division K (Teaching and Teacher Education) Early Career Award (nominee), the Curry School of Education Fellowship, the A.L. Bennett Endowed Scholarship, the Virginia Governor’s Education Fellowship, the Dupont Education Fellowship, and recently the LIU Teaching & Learning Initiative (TLI) Instructional Innovation award. Dr. Boyanton has recently published her first book Towards a Mutual Value Theory: Teachers and students as learners published by Peter Lang Publication in New York.

Roger Coe: An educational expert currently located in Beijing, China with wonderful education academic credentials.  Roger served in the military service with the U.S. Army in Korea in 1960s. Roger’s main research interests lie in science of cybernetics, a science which one scientist has described as the "science of science. He is also fascinated by Zhouyi - The I Ching, from where he learned and experienced the great Order and Pattern of Creativity in the world of nature and in human life. Roger graduated from Reservation community college. He studied educational anthropology in the Education Foundations Department at the University of New Mexico. He received his Masters at National University in San Diego, studying a scientific model of education grounded wholly in the philosophy of A. N. Whitehead.  Back then, Roger was also simultaneously working as an instructor in Education and the Humanities Departments at Navajo Community College and at Central Arizona College. Currently, Roger is working with a world-wide group of scholars to construct the basis for a universal university, designed to be global, comprehensive, scientific and independent of cultural restrictions.

 许国辉博士,香港活知识生命教育基金会理事长

许国辉博士,纽约州立大学比较教育学博士,香港活知识生命教育基金会理事长。资深师资培育者,先后任职澳门大学、香港公开大学、香港教育学院。曾任职联合国难民专员公署,处理难民教育事务,并担任世界银行、亚洲开发银行国际发展顾问。

2004年在香港创办活知识立群社,2005年起全身投入中国西部农村当教育专业志愿者,致力知识扶贫,教育创新,历时逾十载。2012年受四川省大邑县教育局委托,领办一所公益性幼儿园,推动农村幼儿园之生命教育实验。三年来教学突飞猛进,深受家长爱戴。教育局遂再征地两亩建新校舍。该楼房将会建设成为“城乡儿童微博物馆”,以促进城乡儿童互动,合作学习,共学解难。

Dr. Philip Hui is a doctoral degree holder of State University of New York (Buffalo) in the field of Comparative Education.  Dr. Hui is an experienced teacher educator more than two decades, serving at Hong Kong Institute of Education, Hong Kong Open University and Macau University. He is also served as Education Officer for the United Commissioner for Refugee, for the Vietnamese asylum seekers in Asia region.  As International Development Consultant, he has conducted development projects for the World Bank and the Asia Development Bank.

In 2004, Dr. Hui founded a charity organization, namely Living Knowledge Communities, in Hong Kong for serving rural education innovation in the western region of China.  He has become a full-time voluntary organizer to support rural school principals and teachers’ professional development more than 10 years since 2005.

In 2012, Dr. Hui has been invited by the Dayi Education Bureau to run a charity kindergarten in Shangan town, Dayi County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province.  From the last three years, the innovation of the kindergarten has been appreciated by parents. And so the County government builds a new building for further development, i.e. to develop children micro-museum for promoting active learning and cooperation learning between city and village children.





 林敏博士,上海外国语大学西外外国语学校校长

林敏博士,英国利兹大学博士。现担任上海市督学、上海民办中小学协会副会长、上海西外外国语学校总校长。文革后期去农场三年,恢复高考后77级考入复旦、本科毕业后出国留学,在英国利兹大学获博士学位,后在国外大学任教多年、曾担任过教授、博导、系主任、校长特别助理等职,曾用中、英文出版学术专著数部、发表学术论文数十篇。十二年前回国,从一块稻田办起了一所双语的国际化学校,现有中外师生员工近五千人。



















     李小卫,男,博士,上海交通大学生物医学工程学院副研究员。本科毕业于武汉大学物理系,硕士毕业于中国科学院上海微系统与信息技术研究所。2007年于美国弗吉尼亚大学电子与计算机工程系电子工程专业,获博士学位。获上海交通大学“晨星学者”计划奖励和弗吉尼亚大学电子工程系优秀科研奖。获得包括国家自然科学基金在内的多项研究基金资助。基于在中美两国的学习和生活经历,加之本身从事教育行业,因此,个人对中国和美国教育文化之间的差异很感兴趣。

  很显然,中美教育文化之间存在明显的不同。中国的教育更注重基础知识的积累,而美国的教育则比较注重思辨能力的培养,两种教育各有优缺点。很有意思的是,越来越多的证据表明中美两国的教育也在发生着显著的变化,美国逐渐开始重视基础教育,而中国对创新性思维的培养不断加强。在全球化的大背景下,这两种教育的文化是否有可能互相借鉴最终形成一种新的兼容并蓄的教育文化?如果是的,那么这种新的教育文化会包含哪些内容?

 

   Xiaowei Li received the B.S. degree in physics from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in 1999, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China, in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA, in 2007. From 2007 to 2008, he was a Research Associate in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Virginia. He joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, in 2008, as an Assistant Professor. He is currently an Associate Professor of School of Biomedical Engineering at SJTU conducting research in the area of microscopic imaging.

Dr. Li’s experience of studying in both China and the United States has piqued his strong interest in understanding the fundamental differences between Chinese and American education. It is clear that the former focuses more on the accumulation of knowledges while the latter pays more attention on training critical thinking. The recent developments are that Chinese education is reforming its system for effective creativity training while American education is developing “academic standards” which emphasizing the mathematics, language arts, science and social studies. Therefore, it would be a very interesting question to ask, as the globalization is significantly increased by Internet, a fusion of two education cultures will be eventually happen with the dynamic interactions between Chinese and American education. If this is true, what will the fused education culture look like?

Zhang Lei is Jiangsu Kunshan Qianjing Educational Group CEO. He received his educational training in political education from Shenyang Normal University. He founded the Kunshan Qianjing Education Group in May 2001 and has been serving as the CEO ever since. He is works as a professor of psychology at Qinghua University.

Hao Li is the S-AERA 2015 Shanghai Conference Chair. He is also the Shanghai UOUTLOOK Education Co., Ltd founder and CEO as well as the Captain Peter Parenting Education Club founder. He received MBA from Xinan Jiaotong University. Over the past 17 years, Hao Li has conducted extensive research in areas of international educational exchange, studying abroad and parenting education. Hao has become an expert on studying oversea (resources & students), programming and management.

从事基础教育教学、科研、管理、未成年人法律咨询服务工作38年,曾担任学校教学处、教务处、科研室主任等职务,领衔担纲阅读、作文、科研、表演等综合改革实验课程,并创有自己的素质教育家庭工作室。先后三届参加教育部、省市学生思品声像教材、教案汇编、语文教材及练习编审设计。连续三年担任市《学生学习周报》语文版责任编辑,及市学生作文大赛评委。先后获得全国少先队创造活动优秀辅导员、全国“红读奖章活动”先进指导者(连续20届)、市园丁奖、市教科研先进工作者等近百项荣誉称号,连续15年获得中青年教师教学比武一、二、三等奖。六项教育科研成果先后获得过市区一、二、三等奖。受到过文化部嘉奖,并受到中央领导接见。

Ms. Zhang Ming has been working in the fields of basic school teaching, scientific research, school management and juvenile legal consultation for 38 years, serving as the head of teaching department, the head of educational administration department, the head of research department at school. She plays an important role in the pilot comprehensive reform of courses including reading, writing, scientific research, performing, and etc. She is currently running a quality-oriented education home studio. She has participated in the editing and designing work of moral education audio-visual textbooks, compilation of moral education teaching plans, and the editorial work of Chinese teaching materials and exercises for the Ministry of Education and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission for three times. She has been the executive editor of Chinese learning section in Students’ Learning Weekly and the judge of the student writing contests for three consecutive years. For the past few years, she has won around 100 honors including excellent instructor of creating activities by National Young Pioneer Committee, national advanced instructor of young pioneer reading activity (for 20 times), “Shanghai gardener award”(best teacher in Shanghai), advanced worker of scientific research of the municipal level, and etc. She has also won the first, second, and third prizes in the teaching competitions for young and middle age teachers for fifteen successive years. Her six education researches have been awarded first, second, third prizes of the municipal and district level. She was awarded by the Ministry of Culture, and received by the central leaders.

 博迪文博士,美国哥伦比亚大学东亚系

Dr. Stephen Boyanton is a scholar and practitioner of Chinese medicine. He is a senior researcher and Director of Education at the Xinglin Institute for Early East Asian Medicine Research and Scholarship and has a PhD focused on Chinese medical history from Columbia University. Stephen received his BA in anthropology from the University of Florida in 1995, completed an MA in Chinese religious history at the University of Virginia in 2004, and earned an MS in Chinese medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, San Diego, in 2008. He has spent more than six years living and traveling in China where he has followed senior Chinese clinicians in the clinic and sat in on graduate level courses in Chinese medicine. Most recently he spent the academic year 2011-12 as a Fulbright Fellow at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine 北京中醫藥大學. In addition to his scholarly work and teaching, Stephen maintains a private practice in New York City focused on the use of Chinese herbal medicine.

罗礼全,HVLI美德领导力(亚洲)中心董事

罗礼全先生是关联欧洲Havard Virtues Leadership Institute]和东亚教育促进会(EAEA)董事,香港的影响投资公司SA Capital Limited 的董事总经理,香港创业及私募投资协会的名誉主席,亚太风险投资联盟的创始人之一。其他职务还包括美西玉山科技协会董事, 香港董事学会资深会员以及香港证券及投资学会资深会员。罗先生还获得了西班牙IESE商学院的全球EMBA学位,并在斯坦福大学进修了社会企业家培训项目。

Richard Roque is a Director of HVLI Asia Center for Virtuous Leadership which is affiliated with the European-based Havard Virtues Leadership Institute. He has been involved  in field of education thru East Asian Educational Association a Hong Kong based charity which is a sponsoring body to three schools in Hong Kong as well as thru SA Capital Limited which is a private impact investment company focused on the educational sector in Greater China. He was Chairman of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association in 2000-01 (“HKVCA”) where he remains as Chairman Emeritus. He currently is a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute as well as the Hong Kong Institute of Directors. Mr. Roque has a Global Executive MBA from IESE Business School, Barcelona, an MSc in Industrial Economics from the University of Asia and the Pacific.



雷,江苏昆山教育集团董事长

沈阳师范学院政教系毕业,2001年5月创办昆山前景教育集团三所学校,任董事长。其他职务包括昆山新昆山人子女教育联谊会会长,清华大学心理学系特聘教授,陕西师范大学硕士研究生实习导师,湖北东湖高新区教育改革顾问,《中国教师报》课程改革专家团成员。





 王誾,上海青年空间青少年发展中心总干事、星辰社会组织支持中心理事长,社会心理学专业在职研究生。一直试图用积极心理学的理论来解释社会现象并通过培训去帮助学生、教师、企业在职人员和监狱服刑人员来提升自我认知,为自身发展与成长积累必要的方法和能量。之前从业的16年都在MNC跨国企业就职, 热衷于积极心理学理论,对互值理论的研究和推广应用尤为感兴趣。



陈俊颖,华东师范大学对外汉语学院教师

陈俊颖, 2006年毕业于华东师范大学教育信息技术系,研究专业教育技术学,研究方向网络远程教育。多年来致力于儿童早期教育及心理学研究。是积道教育创始人之一。

Chen Junying, a teacher of International College of Chinese studies in ECNU,graduated from School of Education Science of ECNU and got the Master's degree in 2006, majoring in Professional Educational technology, and her research field is Online Distance Education. She has been engaged in children's education in early ages and research on psychology. She is one of the founders of Ji Dao Education.



 Matthew R. McCabe, S-AERA in Long Island

Matthew McCabe is a third year doctoral student in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies at the College of Education, Information, and Technology (CEIT) at Long Island University, Post http://www.liu.edu/post. His research interests are in SLA, language identity, bilingualism, and ESL.  He was born in Washington, DC but grew up in London, England, New Delhi, India, Ottawa, Canada, and Stockholm, Sweden due to his father’s position as an American diplomat.  He earned his BA in English Literature at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) http://www.uic.edu/uic/, and an EdM in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the School of Education at Boston University http://www.bu.edu/sed/.  After that, he went to Taipei, Taiwan and taught ESL to adults for six years at the Language Training and Testing Center (LTTC) -財團法人語言訓練測驗中心 https://www.lttc.ntu.edu.tw/ and the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST)  國立臺灣科技大學http://www.afl.ntust.edu.tw/english/ . He has also taught adult ESL at Queensborough Community College/CUNY http://www.qcc.cuny.edu/ in Flushing, New York.  He also holds an MA in English Literature from Brooklyn College/CUNY http://www.brooklyn.cuny.edu/web/home.php and an MS in Library and Information Science from Long Island University, Post. http://www.liu.edu/post   Matt is fluent in French and conversant in Mandarin.

长岛大学天才儿童教育中心(CGY)项目助教。专业:国际英语教育(TESOL)。她热衷于教育事业,在2014年有幸加入中美教育研究协会并与协会成员邓婷博延顿、Matthew R. McCabe和赵婧发表论文儒学中“苦学”理念对中国学生学习动力的影响。她希望未来能有机会实现自己的教学梦想:在自己的课堂上创造出和谐有趣的英语学习环境!                    

He Qiulian, a graduate student in Long Island University post and teacher assistant in Center for Gifted Youth program in Long Island University. Her major is TESOL. She is interested in Education career. It is her honor to become a member of Sino – American Educational Research Association and publish an academic paper - The Confucian “Bitter and Hard” Association of Learning and Its Impact on Motivation with Dengting. Boyanton, Matthew R. MaCabe and Zhaojing. In the future, She is eager to create a harmonious and interesting environment for students to learn English in her own classroom.

李吉光博士,弗吉尼亚大学前中国学生会主席

祖籍河北,华中科技大学数理提高班本硕联读,弗吉尼亚大学电子工程系博士,曾与诺贝尔奖得主共同发表论文,荣获国家 优秀自费留学生奖学金。李吉光在弗吉尼亚 大学时,积极参与社会各项活动,曾担任弗吉尼亚大学中国学生学者联谊会主席,与邓婷.博延顿联合创办弗吉尼亚大学中文角, 与燕海鸣等合作创办中文杂志《V客》,联合全美多所高校中国学生会编写《留美学子安全手册》,曾作为留学生代表在华盛顿多次受到国家领导人接见。为弗吉尼亚大学中国学生学者联谊会的发展做出了自己的贡献。曾任大华府地区中国大专院校校友会联合会副会长等。现在杭州合作创办微电子材料企业。

Li  Jiguang, born in Hebei, PhD’12 in electrical engineering at University of Virginia (UVa), He published paper co-authored with Nobel Prize winner during his PhD study and he was receipt of National Outstanding Oversea Self-funded Student Award of 2011. He served as President of Chinese Students and Scholars Society (CSSS) of UVa during 2009-2010, co-founder of Chinese Corner at UVa with Dengting Boynton, co-founder of Vke magazine of UVa (the first Chinese magazine of UVa) , Editor in Chief of Safety Manual for Chinese Students in US (co-authored by Chinese students from more than 40 states in the US). He also served as Vice president of Chinese Alumni Association of Great Washington. As outstanding oversea student, he was received by national leaders during their visit at Washington for many times. He is now starting a high-tech microelectronic company in Hangzhou, China.


 沈鹏飞,科普撰稿人,摄影师,曾在西藏工作三年,作为团队核心成员参与西藏生物影像调查项目(TBIC),足迹踏遍藏东南、阿里等地,策划、编辑、出版“环喜马拉雅生物多样性观 测手册”大型图书,并已出版《雅鲁藏布的眼睛》、《生命记忆》、《山湖之灵》。三本书分别获得过中国好书奖、金犀牛最佳出版物、中国图书装帧大奖,纪录片导演策划并执导中日合拍的边疆少数民族题材《最后的沙漠守望者》。该片入围Tokoy Doc提案大会(东京纪录片大会) 旅行撰稿人,世界知名旅行指南Lonely planet 中文作者,LP《丝绸之路》一书旅行指南策划、统筹作者。TBIC首席编辑,BTV纪实卫视导演。








陈静抒,祖籍中国安徽,美国阿肯色大学课程与教学专业博士在读, 华东师范大学文学硕士。美国俄亥俄州儿童文学译者、专栏作家,安徽省作家协会会员,代表译作有《阿比琳的夏天》《木头娃娃的旅行》《枫树山的奇迹》《坏脾气的玛格丽特》等,其中《阿比琳的夏天》和《木头娃娃的旅行》获第九届国家图书馆文津图书奖推荐奖。从事自由撰稿和儿童文学翻译工作近五年。 是一个三岁孩子的妈妈。 爱好和小朋友互动,包括做手工,做点心,做游戏。立志写一本个人专著。

普鲁特教育创始人,现任金色阳光英语教学总监。毕业于四川教育学院和四川师范大学,英语教育本科学历。曾在四川外语专修学院、川外成都学院任教,在新思维、戴氏等知名英语培训学校担任学科带头人。获“新概念英语全国讲师”资格证书。2014年成都市职业丽人评选前三名。黄老师的研究兴趣在于课堂教学,学习方法,学生的心理活动等方面。她通过多年的教学研究创立了一套自己的教学方法,比如灵魂书写法,丹田气息朗读法,最强大脑记忆法等。

Huang Yajuan(Angela)is the founder of Chengdu Pluto Education Institute.Currently,she is the teaching director of Golden Sunshine English. Angela graduated from Sichuan College of Education and Sichuan Normal University and was conferred Bachelor Degree in English education. She used to be a teacher in Sichuan Institute of Foreign Languages and Chengdu Institute Sichuan International Studies University. Angela also acted as an academic leader in New Thinking, Dai Shi Education and other well-known English training schools. Besides, she was awarded the "New Concept English National Lecturer" qualification certificate and elected as one of the top three career beauties of Chengdu in 2014. Her research interests lie in classroom teaching, learning methods, students' psychological activities and so on. Through years of teaching and research, she created a set of her own teaching methods, such as writing by soul, public reading with deep breath and the brain storming memorizing.

协会介绍

About S-AERA


中美教育研究协会是美国弗吉尼亚大学教育学院的中国校友共同发起并创办的一个非营利性社会组织。该组织的前身是2014年的一个9人微信群。当时还在纽约长岛大学担任教育心理学助理教授的邓婷·博延顿博士不时收到中美两国教育者有关中美教育方面的咨询。看到中美双方都这么渴求了解彼此,邓博士就创建了一个微信群。此微信群最初取名为“中美教育合作平台”。邓博士当初创建这个微信群的初衷非常简单,就是为了提供一个平台方便中美两国的教育者直接交流对话,互相咨询,互相了解,互相分享,互相学习与互相合作。随着人数的不断增加,有人建议邓博士将此群在纽约正式注册为一个非盈利性的学术组织,改名为“中美教育研究协会”。同年7月4日-5日,中美教育研究协会首届年会在南京召开。在短短的一年多时间里,协会的发展及影响迅速扩大, 从一个小小的9人微信群体发展成为具有一定国际影响力的教育组织。协会现有成员近400名,其中包括中小学教师,大学教授,及留学生等。协会总部设在美国纽约,分部设在中美各大城市。

Initiated by several U.Va. Chinese alumni educators, S-AERA is a nonprofit organization devoted to advancing comparative educational research and collaboration between the U.S. and China. S-AERA originally started as a 9-person WeChat group including both Chinese and American educators who were very curious and interested in learning about and collaborating with each other. The initial WeChat group was created as a platform for educators in both countries to know, to share with, to learn from, and to collaborate with each other. As the group continued to grow, Someone suggested that we should register it as an official non-profit organization in New York, this was how the Sino-American Educational Research Association was founded. That summer (July 4th -5th), the S-AERA held its first conference in Nanjing, China. Currently, S-AERA has almost 400 members and it is a consortium of K-12 teachers, university professors, school administrators, and international students. The S-AERA headquarters is located in New York City, with many offices located at different cities in both the U.S. and China.

中美教育研究协会的发展以中英美四大思想家的理念为指导。

1 大同。协会以中国古代伟大教育家孔子的“大同世界”为理念,致力打造一个合作创新奋发图强的高精尖教育“地球村”。在地球村里,所有热爱教育事业的同仁一视同仁,互相坦诚,互相尊重,互相信任,互相学习,互相鼓励,互相交流,互相合作,互相成功。我们立志把“地球村”建设成为一个中美之间的平台,让中美两国的教育者们联合起来,加强彼此之间的交流与合作,把优质的教育资源进行研发、整合、普及、运用,促进两国教育事业的共同发展。

2 服务。协会本着美国弗吉尼亚大学创始人托马斯.杰斐逊总统 “教育要服务社会”的理念,将“服务社会”和“贡献社会”定为中美教育研究协会的最高目标。

3 创新。受英国创造力专家肯·鲁滨逊先生的教育理念影响,我们认为二十一世纪的教育在其定义,目标,内容,形式和方式上都应该大胆创新。和传统的教育组织不同,中美教育研究协会非常包容并欢迎多种有创意的教育形式如艺术,音乐,小品,表演等。协会大力提倡其成员通过非传统的教育方式来影响和改变社会。

4 价值。在协会创始人邓婷.博延顿博士的互值理论的指导下,我们坚信价值的创立与价值的实现是人类的基本需求与生命的基本意义。因此,协会致力于帮助其成员实现四大价值:1)自值:帮助每个成员实现最大的自我价值;2)被自值:让每个成员感觉到自己被他人所认可,尊重和欣赏;3)倡议每个成员多关心,尊重,支持,鼓励,和欣赏他人;4) 事值:激发每个成员对学生,对教学,对教育,对生活的热爱以及对他人,社会和世界的责任。

The development of S-AERA was primarily influenced by four thinkers in China, England, and the U.S.

1 One world. Inspired by the “one world” vision of the greatest ancient Chinese educator, Confucius, S-AERA intends to create a collaborative and egalitarian intellectual community called the “Global Village.” In the Global Village, all educators are treated as equal with mutual respect, trust, honesty, encouragement, support and collaboration. The Global Village serves as a platform for passionate educators in both the U.S. and China to exchange ideas, to collaborate on projects and to explore educational solutions together.

2 Service. Guided by UVA founder Mr. Thomas Jefferson’s belief that “education should serve society,” the S-AERA’s ultimate goal is to serve humanity and the global community by providing free services and resources (e.g., activities, videos).

3 Creativity. S-AERA is influenced by the well-known British creativity expert Sir Ken Robinson. Unlike traditional academic organizations, the S-AERA organization is very open and it welcomes a variety of creative formats including art, music, dance, skits, and performances. It highly encourages its members to make an impact in society using nontraditional formats.

4 Value. The development of S-AERA is also guided by its founder Dr. Dengting Boyanton’s mutual value theory. Dr. Boyanton strongly believes that seeking and creating value is the fundamental need of all human beings and also the essential purpose of living. Thus, S-AERA strives to help its members achieve four values: 1) self-value, help its members to achieve their fullest individual potential; 2) perceived self-value, help its members to feel cared for, respected, encouraged, and appreciated by one another; 3) other-value, encourage its members to care for, support, encourage, respect, and appreciate each other; and 4) course-value, help its members to discover their passion for children and education as well as to develop a sense of responsibility for the society and the world.

协会的使命是“集中美教育之英才,寻未来教育之出路。”协会的三个具体目标是:1)个人发展:协助每个会员发掘自我最大的潜能,2)品牌创立:通过成员之间的合作创造出教育精品如文章, 书籍,理论,学校,项目等从而打造一个新型,科学,创新,有效的育人品牌,3)服务贡献:扩大在全社会的影响以服务于全人类的教育事业。

S-AERA was created as a platform for passionate educators in both the U.S. and China to exchange ideas, to collaborate on projects and to explore educational solutions together. The specific goals of the three S-AERA are: 1) individual development: to help each individual member achieve their fullest potentials; 2) brand production: to produce high quality work including articles, research projects, schools, movies, initiatives in education; and 3) social impact: to become a leading organization with the most advanced knowledge to serve the global educational community.
